Some Things I’ve Learned From My First Year Away at College
* My hometown does kind of suck, especially when compared to other people’s hometowns.
* Not everyone has lost their virginity before becoming a legal adult.
* Every person experiences every emotion in the spectrum by the age of 18.
* There are people who do appreciate my dry, sarcastic humor.
* The taste of Goldschlager. Both going down and coming back up.
* A zenith is the point right above you.
* There are still people who believe in God.
* There are still people who believe in something.
* I really don’t belong at a small school in a small town, so even though it was my back-up decision, it was still a good decision for what it was.
* Nice people who mind their own business get dicked over too.
* Just because a haircut looked good on you three years ago doesn’t mean it’ll look as good on you now.
* You can put twenty different people from different backgrounds and different walks of life together in one room and they’ll all be scared shitless to reveal who they really are in front of each other.
* When you know you’re dying, you go home while you can.
* Writing is worth it.
* Those annoying girls from high school will still be those annoying girls in college.
* The key to relaxation is realizing that everyone is on your side.
